I have been beavering away at my lovely Apple keyboard, slowly entering the details of all my possessions for sale on eBay.
I already mentioned my beloved IBM Model M keyboard, which has already had a bid, and I’ve since added most of my DVDs and a hefty number of my CDs. The rest of my music is next, followed by 150 or so books.
I’ve put my very rare (no, really) copy of Babyshambles’ debut single online today – less than 1,000 were pressed, and some joker is selling his copy for £99.99 on Amazon.co.uk. I don’t think my copy will go for that much, but hopefully it’ll earn me a decent return on the couple of quid I paid for it!
Everything in the house has to go, but not all of it’s postable or eBay-able. If anyone in the Milton Keynes area wants a 60W guitar amp, a computer desk, a mountain bike, a futon, a sofabed, a double bed or a dilapidated 3-piece suite, drop me a line…
Ok, I’m not up with the modern music scene, but doesn’t “single” usually imply “one song”? Back in my day&tm; we’d call 3 songs an EP.
Congrats on the move, BTW.
Thanks Paul, it’s something I’ve been looking towards for the past two years now.
Back in the day™, a single was a vinyl 45′, with a lesser song on the b-side. These days, CDs are one-side-only. The EP has essentially been replaced by CD1 and CD2 of a single, with a total of 4 b-sides (2 on each CD). You buy the two copies to get all of the extra songs, and the charts record two purchases of the same song.
Ah, the music industry. Let me prime my bile. No? Probably best…
